Fire Weather Discussion as of 7:00 p.m. MDT Thursday, October 29, 2026

     The Fire Weather Discussion has ended for the 2026 Fire Season. It not be updated again until the start of the 2027 Fire Season or unless conditions warrent an update.

Aviation discussion as of 7:00 p.m. MDT Thursday, October 29, 2026 valid through 10:00 p.m. MDT Friday, October 30, 2026:

    VFR conditions this evening will likely persist until a couple of hours before dawn on Friday when MVFR or IFR stratus and freezing fog will likely develop due to a saturated boundary layer and light wind. This carries some uncertainty with greater probability of stratus to the north of the airfield as mid and high cloud cover could inhibit stratus development. If stratus does develop it will likely linger until late morning or early afternoon before scattering out to VFR conditions in the afternoon. Winds will remain light.
