Fire Weather Discussion as of 8:30 p.m. MDT Tuesday, October 7, 2025
The Fire Weather Discussion has ended for the 2025 Fire Season. It will only be updated as conditions warrant.
Aviation discussion as of 5:00 p.m. MST Monday, February 9, 2026 valid through 10:00 p.m. MST Tuesday, February 10, 2026:
VFR conditions will persist through this evening with patches of MVFR stratus. Low confidence forecast overnight as climatology would suggest MVFR to IFR stratus development however colder air aloft will be moving in increasing instability and may result in a scattered MVFR stratus deck developing with areas of mountain obscurations if stratus does develop. If stratus does develop it will likely scatter out by noon with VFR conditions with stratocumulus with higher mountains remaining obscured throughout the day. Cloud bases should rise to near 6000 feet ASL. Winds will be light west to southwest and no wind issues are anticipated.
